We opened a small, cramped kitchen and dining area into a large and inviting living space suitable for all kinds of entertaining.

Our clients are a couple on the move!  They love to entertain in their new area.

Mandate

In this typical multi-level home set on a hillside, the kitchen was dated and small.  We opened up the wall between the hallway and the kitchen to make a multi-faceted space in which to cook, entertain, eat, drink and be merry!

The 'before' and 'during' photographs below will show just how big a change it was.

Design and Décor

The primary style selected was contemporary with hints of traditional elements in the mouldings and small details. Colours are neutral without being boring with all the different textures present.

The beautiful 'weathered slate' finish on the cabinetry adds an current twist when joined by the stainless and chrome accents such as door and drawer hardware, as well as the eye-catching exhaust fan.

Results

An open, airy main living space to suit the couple's lifestyle.  The updated and comfortable area adds value to both the property and the daily life of the active people who live there.
